Defending champion Brazil gets the ball rolling on Sunday afternoon when it takes on Venezuela in the first game of Group A.

Winners on home soil two years ago, the Seleção will hope to repeat the feat this year after stepping in as the tournament host just two weeks ago.

Originally scheduled to be jointly hosted by Argentina and Colombia, the tournament’s fate was thrown up in the air after CONMEBOL—South American soccer’s governing body—stripped the latter of the hosting rights due to ongoing civil unrest.

Argentina’s offer to host the entire tournament was also deemed unsatisfactory by CONMEBOL because of the country’s surging coronavirus infection rate.

Brazil rode to the rescue, but not without controversy, as public opinion was split over President Jair Bolsonaro’s desire to host the tournament at a time when the country has the world’s second-highest death toll from COVID.

Bolsonaro dismissed the concerns in typically bullish style and the Copa America will go ahead, albeit in a different format from recent iterations.

For the first time since 1991, the tournament will feature only the 10 South American teams and no guest countries from other confederations, with Australia and Qatar forced to pull out as the Copa America clashes with the rearranged 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

In the U.S., FOX Sports will broadcast the entire tournament across its channel after recently signing a six-year deal with CONMEBOL. Univision and TUDN, meanwhile, will broadcast the tournament in Spanish.

Every game will be available for live stream via FOX Sports, Univision and TUDN’s digital platforms. Streaming services like fuboTV, Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV and Vidgo will also broadcast every game.

Here’s the complete Copa America TV schedule for both groups. The group stages run from June 13 to June 28, with the knockout stage beginning on July 2 and the final scheduled for July 10.
