With only seconds remaining and the Blue Devils down one point against Virginia on Saturday, Grayson Allen drove to the basket, hung in the air and hit a floater as time expired. The “Cameron Crazies” went, well, crazy as Duke escaped with a 63-62 victory.

Hold on — should Allen’s incredible buzzer-beater have counted? Allen clearly got the shot off in time, but it appears he did not release the ball before he traveled.

Just to play Blue Devil’s advocate, one could argue there was plenty of contact on the play, and Allen should have gone to the free throw line for two shots.
