After suffering a UFC 196 loss to Nate Diaz, the Irishman is stepping up his training to prepare heavily for Diaz’s style.
MORE: Conor McGregor’s most notorious moments
While training in Ireland, McGregor has enlisted the help of Irish boxing champion Conor Wallace to recreate the boxing style of Diaz. Wallace, like Diaz, is a tall, long-armed lefty.
And to avoid another grappling mishap like the one that landed him in a Diaz chokehold in March, McGregor is wrestling on the mat with Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Dillion Danis.
The MMA world will find out if the training pays off when McGregor attempts to avenge his loss to Diaz in UFC 202 on Aug. 20.
