In an interview with The Sunday Business Post, an Irish publication, the potential sale and its financial implications are very much on McGregor’s radar, according to his coach.

“Conor will have thought of this and I am sure, when he is sitting down with his new overlords, he will have that conversation,” John Kavanagh said, adding. “What will happen when it is sold, if it is sold? Short answer is, I don’t know what will happen [to] the daily operations of it … it is a truly global company now. Like any big takeover, there will be a period of finding your feet again.”
Even though McGregor lost his last fight, he’s still a huge draw because of his brash personality and knockout prowess. He has nearly two million followers on Twitter and more than five million on Instagram.
A rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 202 will be McGregor’s next fight, but there has been talk of a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather for a staggering $100 million total purse.
