Trevor Smith, 17, of Oneonta, Ala., won Wilson’s fan contest and his design has been transformed into the company’s commemorative glove for the All-Star Game.

Smith, who has a passion for sports apparel, enjoys creating new designs for gloves of all positions in his spare time.

“Infielder gloves, outfielder, it doesn’t matter,” he said, via MLB.com. “I customize all different kinds. It’s just fun.”
As for his inspiration behind the All-Star Game gloves, Smith said it came from the host city.
“It’s the Reds, so I though there’s got to be a lot of red, but I just picked whatever I thought looked best,” he said.
Several players, including Jose Altuve, Dee Gordon and Lorenzo Cain, are already sporting the youngster’s glove.
