AMC also released a teaser poster of another spinoff series that will star Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira’s characters Rick Grimes and Michonne.

In a statement, Lincoln said, “This has been the most extraordinary journey playing Rick Grimes for the best part of a decade. The friendships I’ve made along the way are deep and lasting, so it’s fitting that I finally get to complete the story with Danai and Scott and the rest of the [The Walking Dead] family.”

Gurira said, “Michonne and this TWD family has meant so much to me, and to continue the journey of these beloved characters, alongside Scott and Andy, both creatively and in front of the camera, and bringing The Walking Dead fans something truly special is just glorious. I can’t wait to pick up the katana again.”

The show is reportedly being released in 2023.

Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper, Guardians of the Galaxy premiered in 2014 and earned over $772 million in the worldwide box office. The comic book turned movie follows a group of criminals who team up to help save the universe. After the success of the first movie, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 was released three years later with Vol. 3 in the works.

The Walking Dead premiered in late 2010 and has had a long run. The horror TV series will come to an end after its 11th season. The show follows groups of people trying to survive a zombie apocalypse as they constantly search for safety.
