In the clip, Cooper wore a blazer and lip-synched to Trump’s remarks regarding how injections and ultraviolet rays could kill the coronavirus. She also provided reactions from Dr. Deborah Birx, the coordinator of the White House coronavirus response. She appeared shocked during the briefing by Trump’s thoughts.

“So supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just a very powerful light — and I think you said that hasn’t been checked because of the testing,” Cooper mouthed as she pointed to a lamp, as part of Trump’s briefing.

“And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or some other way, and I think you said you’re going to test that, too.” The comedian gestured to different parts of her body, implying where an injection of ultraviolet rays could go. Cooper, portraying Dr. Birx wearing a tee-shirt, seemed confused at several cuts in the clip.

He added, “I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute.” Cooper mimed this part and held a cleaning spray bottle. “And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.”

“It sounds interesting to me,” Cooper concluded her charade, which was complete with hand gestures and expressions that mirrored Trump.

Cooper wasn’t the only person to fire shots at Trump’s latest briefing. Snoop Dogg posted a cartoon of the president on Instagram drinking bleach. “Aight u go first then ya voters and I’ll be here waiting to c [sic] how y’all feel before I go under my kitchen sink for some bleach,” he captioned the post.

The following morning, the White House claimed that the media was misinterpreting Trump’s comments regarding coronavirus treatment methods.

“President Trump has repeatedly said that Americans should consult with medical doctors regarding coronavirus treatment, a point that he emphasized again during yesterday’s briefing,” White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement. “Leave it to the media to irresponsibly take President Trump out of context and run with negative headlines.”
