The 49ers on Monday reportedly began active discussions around sending Dee Ford and Kwon Alexander elsewhere in exchange for draft picks.
The Colts, meanwhile, have now made free safety Malik Hooker available, per Michael Lombardi of The Athletic. Hooker has been their starting safety since his rookie year in 2017.

Hooker has been hampered by injuries in his first three years in the NFL, but he has been a force when healthy. The 2017 first-round pick from Ohio State has racked up seven interceptions in 34 games. At 24 years old, he seemingly has a long career still ahead of him and room to improve further. One would expect there to be substantial interest from teams in the coming days.
Indianapolis does not currently hold a selection in the first round; the Colts’ first selection will come with the 34th overall pick in the second round.
