Several teams ranked in the Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 found themselves on the wrong ends of upsets on Saturday, including undefeated College Football Playoff hopefuls Notre Dame, Utah and Michigan.

SN RANKINGS: Massive changes among top-25 teams

That sets up another interesting week of college football, as the polls and Playoff picture only become more convoluted from here.

Here are the full college football rankings from the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll after Week 4:

The SEC couldn’t make it even one weekend before succumbing to chaos, which resulted in a couple of head-scratching victories from massively favored teams and one even bigger upset.

That starts with Mississippi State’s 44-34 upset of sixth-ranked LSU, which became the first defending national champion since Michigan in 1998 to lose its first game of the next season. Mike Leach’s “Air Raid” offense was too much for a depleted LSU defense, and the Tigers’ offense wasn’t nearly potent enough to keep up with the Bulldogs’ barrage of passes.

Even Georgia and Texas A&M, ranked No. 3 and 10 in the AP Top 25 on Saturday, struggled to wins against vastly outmatched opponents: The Bulldogs were down 7-5 at halftime against Arkansas and first-year coach Sam Pittman before clamping down for a 37-10 victory. The Aggies, meanwhile, couldn’t do anything offensively against Vanderbilt, stumbling to a 17-12 victory.

Those aren’t even the biggest storylines from Saturday, either: That regrettable distinction goes to third-ranked Oklahoma, which gave up 24 unanswered points to Kansas State in a 38-35 upset. That defeat is particularly bad when considering the Wildcats’ only previous game this year was a loss to Arkansas State. The Big 12 nearly found itself completely out of the College Football Playoff picture not too long after, with No. 8 Texas needing to score 15 unanswered points in the last three minutes to force overtime against Texas Tech; the Longhorns ended up winning in overtime, 63-56.

As one might expect, those games vastly changed the college football outlook, reflected in this week’s rankings. Oh, and the AP Top 25 has introduced Big Ten and Pac-12 teams to its latest polls.

Here are the latest AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll rankings after a chaotic Week 4 slate of games:
