Auburn snagged the No. 6 spot in the AP rankings with its own lopsided victory over Georgia on Saturday, while the Bulldogs fell to No. 7. Wisconsin’s home win over previously 20th-ranked Iowa kept the Badgers undefeated at No. 4 in both the AP and Coaches polls.
Oklahoma’s statement win over TCU put the Sooners well in control in the Big 12 and lifted them to No. 3 in the AP Poll. However, Oklahoma only rose two spots to No. 5 in the Coaches Poll. Alabama survived Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss., Saturday and remains the top team in the nation. Mississippi State, at No. 17, is the highest-ranked three-loss team in the nation.
