While the all-time series is perfectly balanced at 23-23-2, there is little to suggest the game will be anything but a lopsided affair.

With Alabama and Clemson—the country’s top two ranked teams—enjoying a weekend off, Georgia is the highest-ranked team in action this Saturday. The No.3 ranked team in the nation, the Bulldogs arrive in Tennessee with a 4-0 record and fully rested after a bye last week.

Georgia is 1-0 against SEC opponents and hasn’t lost to a SEC East team in two years, winning 14 consecutive games in the period and outscoring opponents 510-183 in the process.

Jake Fromm may not have reached the lofty heights of Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts and Justin Fields so far this season, but he’s been his usual accomplished self.

The junior quarterback has thrown for 788 yards and six touchdowns without an interception, while D’Andre Swift ranks in the top-40 for total rushing yards with 388.

The Bulldogs’ offense hasn’t been as free-scoring as those of fellow College Football Playoff candidates but it has been very effective—it ranks 15th in terms of yards per game.

Conversely, Tennessee has struggled offensively so far. The Volunteers ranked 104th in terms of yards per game and 88th in terms of average points per game with 26. To put the first figure into context, that is 54 spots below Arkansas State, a team that was on the receiving end of a 55-0 shellacking against Georgia earlier this season.

The Volunteers are 1-3 and arrive into the game on Saturday on the back of a 34-3 thrashing on the road at the hands of No. 10 Florida.

In his second season in Knoxville, Tennessee, former Georgia defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt faces familiar issues. Last season, the Volunteers offensive line gave up the highest number of tackles behind of scrimmage of any FBS team and there hasn’t been any radical improvement this year.

With the Bulldogs ranked nine in the nation in terms of total defense, it is difficult to see the Volunteers avoiding a third consecutive defeat against their SEC rivals.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of Saturday.
