The rule made it permissible for staff members to like, retweet, favorite or endorse a recruit’s post in any way on public social media platforms. They aren’t allowed to tweet directly at recruits, but they are now allowed to show a little love, and a few coaches burned the midnight oil to take advantage.

Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck was also busy, retweeting 22 different tweets promoting his team. Also taking advantage was South Carolina coach Will Muschamp. The list can go on and on, and, frankly, it can become a little annoying for everyone involved.

Even the actual recruits who had their posts “liked” were over it pretty quickly.
