Case in point with the NHL Stanley Cup Final right now between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

CM Punk is from Chicago and a huge Blackhawks fans. Meanwhile, Hulk Hogan is a Tampa Bay resident. So, of course, the two are now feuding over their teams playing for the cup.

The Hulkster fired the first shot during the pregame show on NBCSN before Game 1 in Tampa last week when Chicago superfan Punk was brought up.

That obviously got under the skin of Punk who fired back with shots of his own towards Hogan prior to Monday night’s Game 3. on CSNChicago.com.

You knew that Punk had to call out Hogan for referring to Lightning head coach Jon Cooper as “Jon Connor” and throwing in that “we’re in Chicago and we’re real hockey fans”. But he took it to another level when he said that “the Tampa Bay organization as a whole should be embarrassed for hitching their trailers to such a piece of garbage”.

Of course, the Lightning pulled out a 3-2 victory and now lead the series 2-1. And with that, Hogan was on Twitter for the next round.

You knew Punk would have a come back and tweeted: “You mispronounced the team captains name and didn’t even know the coaches name. You’re a hack.Shut the f*** up or I’ll wreck you @HulkHogan”.

I think you can tell that there is some underlying tension here and Punk doesn’t dislike Hogan just because he’s a Lightning fan. Maybe they should settle it in the ring or now the Octagon for Punk?
