“No, I’m not worried. I believe I’ll be fine,” Crawford told the Los Angeles Times when asked if he was concerned about his right calf bruise claiming the rest of his season.

“It’s just a slow process because this is a sensitive area,” said Crawford, who has had his calf drained to promote healing, per the L.A. Times. “This is probably the weirdest [injury] because you just don’t see it happen in basketball.”

Any team would miss Crawford’s prolific scoring ability — he’s averaging 16.4 points per game off the bench this season — but the Clippers have gone 7-4 in his absence, including their current five-game winning streak. Still, Rivers would like to have Crawford at his disposal come playoff time.

“It’s hard not playing,” said Crawford, according to the Times, “but I just look at it as each day is a little closer to coming back. The team is playing well and I see my family a little more, so I’m trying to look at the positives.”

While Crawford continues to be on the mend, Los Angeles is in a fairly comfortable spot in the playoff race. With a 47-25 record, the Clippers currently hold the No. 5 seed and a 1.5-game cushion over the sixth-place Spurs.
