Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. confirmed that prognosis on Wednesday.

“We hope to get him into a throwing program in October or November,” Amaro Jr. told MLB.com’s Todd Zolecki in a telephone interview. “But right now he needs to rest.”

Lee will not need surgery, Zolecki reported. He was scheduled to receive an injection of platelet rich plasma to treat a flexor pronator strain.
