Rogers allegedly damaged the glass-encased rock at Memorial Stadium with a hammer. A large portion was broken off.

Tigers players have made a tradition of touching the rock on their way to the field on game days.

The defense also rested Thursday.

Damages are estimated to be in excess of $10,000.

Rogers, 18, could face 10 years in prison if convicted on all charges, which include grand larceny and malicious injury to property.
