One moment it was a normal scene at the bucolic Saturday Market, and then a van rolled up and it wasn’t.

Players jumped out of the van wearing their real uniforms while the team’s managers set up a portable goal in the intersection of Main Street and McBee Avenue. They invited fans to come join them for games of knock-out or just to get some shots up. The team also posed for pictures with fans and signed autographs as part of the surprise event that the school called #MainStreetTigers.
The impetus behind Clemson’s surprise visit was to introduce the 2015-16 Tigers to the Greenville community, because the town’s Bon Secours Wellness Arena will be playing host to the team as its home court — Littlejohn Stadium — undergoes renovations.
