The Flyers captain joins a plethora of NHL players this season who have joined the 1K list. Giroux was able to accomplish the historic feat at the age of 34.
It very well could be Giroux’s last game ever in a Flyers uniform. The forward is expected to be moved at the deadline to a contender in an effort for the Flyers to gain assets back for the pending free agent and give Giroux a shot at a Stanley Cup. Either Philadelphia will move Giroux before the Flyers’ next game on Friday in Ottawa or may hold him out in order to work a deal without the worry of an injury.
Regardless of what jersey Giroux is wearing this time next week, he has solidified himself among some of the greatest Flyers to ever play for the franchise.

Reminder, this is just games played while in Philadelphia. Some of these players have more career games played elsewhere, like Jakub Voracek who skated in his 1,00th game this season, but only played 727 with the Flyers.
What other players have skated in their 1,000th game this season?
