The one-hour event completed earlier Thursday was a project headed up by Brad Wurthman, Cincinnati’s associate AD for marketing and strategic communications, and one he started undertaking nine months ago.
“A lot of planning for a one-shot deal, but the best one-shot deals are home runs,” Wurthman said.
The Bearcats played on an 80x55 outdoor court specially constructed for them, which was assembled from black and red squares measuring 12 inches on each side and will be reusable for future events, should the school consider doing this again at Fountain Square or other city landmarks.
