The 18-year-old appeared in all six of Dortmund’s Champions League group stage matches this season, starting five of them. He grabbed an assist in his first career Champions League appearance against Legia Warsaw and also helped set up Dortmund’s late equalizer in a 2-2 home draw with Real Madrid on Sept. 27.

Dortmund won Group F ahead of the Blancos, and will face Benfica in the round of 16 over two legs in February and March.
