In their last goodbye, Natalie refused to give back the engagement ring Mike gifted her, and Teigen brought it up to her Twitter followers on Monday. “Last night’s 90 days oh my godddd. ‘No I not give ring back! I want to remember how miserable you make me’ jaosksjzjshjsosozushsb it was the crab cake scones,” Teigen wrote. The post had over 3,000 likes and a handful of responses from other viewers who felt similarly about the cringeworthy breakup.
It seems Natalie will now return to Ukraine without marrying Mike. Some commenters on Teigen’s thread noted the woman may have “dodged a bullet” as Mike seemed unwilling to compromise or to move forward in the relationship with her. The pair originally broke up on Season 7 of the show, but returned to try a relationship in America during Season 8. Most of the current season saw Mike and Natalie struggling to find consistency in their relationship.
While Mike and Natalie’s ending (which led TLC viewers to name Mike as the unofficial, Season 8 villain) had lots of viewers talking, Teigen refocused the conversation on another couple…one who may have a chance at happiness.
“[T]he farm kids who live with the parents are def the happiest,” she wrote on Twitter of Brandon and Julia, “or at the least they like to have sex with each other which is all we can ask for at this point.”
Teigen’s tweet, which was liked by nearly 1,000 Twitter users, spoke to the tumultuous nature of Season 8, which has seen many of the couples split up or fall into relationship-altering arguments. Despite their own iffy circumstances, Brandon and Julia are obviously attracted to each other and they actually seem to have fun together.
Throughout the season, Brandon and Julia have been praised as the most authentic, in-love couple. Their premarital problems stem mainly from Brandon’s intense relationship with his parents. Julia, his Russian fiancé, moved to Brandon’s family farm in Virginia to join the rural lifestyle. What she didn’t necessarily plan for was Brandon’s overbearing mother, who has a lot of rules about how Julia and Brandon should behave—some of the oddest throughout the season included Julia and Brandon having separate bedrooms, but only being allowed to bathe nude in the family hot tub.
Teigen ended the thread with a note, and a meme, on Stephanie and Harris, too. Her witty commentary on reality TV is always applauded by other viewers, but Teigen’s 90 Day obsession, and opinions, seems to fit right in with the rest of the TLC-loving bunch that can’t get enough of the show, and all of its spinoffs.
