The slap has rocked Hollywood and beyond, prompting the cost of tickets to see Rock perform a stand-up set to surge this week.
Rock’s Ego Death World Tour commenced in March, with 38 cities currently lined up for its North American leg.
This week, he performed six shows at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston to officially kick off the tour, which marks Rock’s first comedy tour in five years.
After Boston, Rock will perform in Atlantic City on Saturday to a sold-out crowd, and then later this month he heads to Reno, Nevada; Hollywood, Florida; Durham, North Carolina; Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Baltimore.
During Wednesday’s show, Rock broke his silence on the situation when he told the audience that he was “still processing what happened, so at some point I’ll talk about that s***.”
“Let me be all misty and s***,” Rock said, with tears in his eyes. “I don’t have a bunch of s*** to say about that, so if you came here for that… I had written a whole show before this weekend.”
Here is everything you need to know about Chris Rock’s Ego Death tour.
“Lauded by peers and critics alike, Chris Rock is one of our generation’s strongest comedic voices,” event organizers Live Nation said in a statement. “With a career spanning more than three decades, Rock has enjoyed ongoing success in both film and television as a comedian, actor, writer, producer and director.”

Are Tickets to Chris Rock’s Ego Death Tour Available on Secondary Ticketing Marketplaces?
Tickets for Rock’s tour are also available on sellers like TickPick and Stubhub.
Secondary ticketing marketplace, TickPick, reported that it has sold more tickets for Rock’s U.S. tour in the past 24 hours than it did over the previous month.
StubHub spokesperson Mike Silveira told Forbes: “At this stage in his tour, on an average day, we’d expect to see a spike in sales in the 24 or 48 hours prior to a show date as last-minute sales roll in, but it is incredibly unusual to see the spike we have experienced.”
