The Big Ten presidents could be the first to vote against playing football this fall, Sports Illustrated reported Sunday night. If the Big Ten folds, the Pac 12 will likely be the next. At that point, the ACC, Big 12 and SEC would probably nix their seasons. On Saturday, the Mid-American Conference became the first Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) conference to postpone football, along with all fall sports. The Power 5 commissioners held an emergency meeting Sunday to discuss the possibility of doing the same....

Will they be closer than that? No. 2 Michigan meets No. 3 TCU in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN. The Wolverines are favored by 7.5 points against the Horned Frogs. Fans might consider Saturday’s offerings slim pickings when compared to your usual college football Saturday, but anything is better after a dragging offseason. It should also be the first time we see full stadiums, considering necessary precautions taken in the 2020 season amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In all, there are five games to watch on Saturday. But only three teams that play will be from a Power 5 conference: Nebraska at Illinois in a Big Ten opener, and UCLA, which plays host to Hawaii to start the season....

Saturday features three games between ranked teams, including No. 12 Oregon at No. 25 Washington, No. 17 Arizona State at No. 13 Utah and No. 16 Michigan at No. 7 Penn State. In addition to the ranked games, the nation’s top teams will also face tests that could impact the playoff race. Right now, state regulators have set a 500-foot minimum setback distance for residences. Evidence from the study finds that residents living between 500-2,000 feet of fracking sites are exposed to benzene and other chemicals. Chemicals, like benzene, toluene and ethyltoluenes were found at up to 10 times the recommended levels at a distance of 500 feet from fracking operations. Those levels were still unsafe at distances of 2,000 feet from some oil and gas fracking facilities....

They disagreed over whether the election was stolen, but both appeared to accept there was fraud.
