It’s Championship Weekend, and nothing will matter more than the 10 conference championship games played among the Power 5 and Group of 5, several of which have huge implications in the Playoff race. That said, the rematch between Texas and Oklahoma, coupled with Ohio State’s game against what looks like an overmatched Northwestern, should decide the final team in the Playoff pairings....

Three of the Playoff participants will be the usual suspects: Alabama and Clemson are locks for their sixth playoff appearances, with the Crimson Tide and Tigers having met in the championship game three times. The madness continued with Wisconsin knocking off No. 5 LSU at Lambeau Field and No. 18 Georgia playing close to home in Atlanta against No. 22 North Carolina. Since its launch late last month, the college’s new “1776 Curriculum,” as it’s named, has been downloaded more than 26,000 times, according to Dr. Kathleen O’Toole, assistant provost for K-12 education at Hillsdale. The educational program covers American history, including the nation’s founding, the Civil War era and other topics related to civics and government. Its creators, who include teachers and professors, say it’s designed to depart from The New York Times’ 1619 Project, which reframes the country’s history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of Black Americans at the center of the national narrative....
