This is the final week before the College Football Playoff selection show on Sunday, Dec. 20. The fourth set of CFP rankings will be unveiled Tuesday, and it should follow a familiar theme: The top six have remained completely unchanged through the first three sets of rankings, and that likely won’t change after Week 15....

The head-to-head debate is going to be more head-scratching than ever now. The Football Oversight Committee already recommended waiving requirements for eligibility for postseason games this season. An analysis of financial records at public universities found that Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) programs spent over $533 million to pay fired coaches from January 1, 2010, to January 31, 2021, ESPN reported on Friday. Overall, the report found that football accounted for 75 percent of the dead money with $402.3 million, while men’s ($116.3M) and women’s basketball ($15.1M) were responsible for the remaining payments.
