With a 23-20 win over then-No. 9 Auburn, the Tigers became the first team in the AP Poll era to win three matchups against top-10 ranked teams in the opening weeks of the season. They become the third team to hold the No. 1 spot in the rankings this campaign. Joe Burrow strengthened his credentials as a Heisman Trophy candidate, completing 32 of his 42 passes for 321 yards and a touchdown, while Clyde Edwards Helaire hushed for 136 yards and a score over 26 carries....

Nathan R. Herries, of Vail, was flagged to Eagle County law enforcement via an anonymous tip and cited within hours of his photo being published and shared across social media, deputies said. According to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, Herries was cited in lieu of arrest for the suspected violation of a public health order, disorderly conduct and second degree tampering....

Multiple instances of feds seizing state supplies of tests and personal protective equipment have been reported since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Polis said on Friday that Colorado kept their latest shipment hidden because the state did not want to lose the tests to “the competition.” “We were worried that the federal government or somebody else would take them,” the governor told Colorado Public Radio. “We kept it under wraps. We simply didn’t know if anybody would swoop in… I mean, we didn’t want another state or the feds or anybody....
