Christ The Redeemer Statue Lit Up To Look Like A Doctor To Honor Coronavirus Medical Workers
A special mass was held on top of Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro to honor those risking their lives to save others during the coronavirus pandemic, with the Christo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) statue lit up to mark the occasion. “Obrigado,” the Portuguese word for thanks, plus “#FiqueEmCasa” meaning “Stay At Home” was projected onto the 38-meter-tall statue.
