The case involved the death of Marise Ann Chiverella, a 9-year-old who was abducted on the morning of March 18, 1964, while on her way to school in the coal-mining town of Hazleton. A search ensued for Marise, and her body was found about five hours later, dumped in a coal pit. She had been strangled to death after being raped, according to investigators. Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) officers and detectives chased leads for years, trying to track down Marise’s killer with no luck....

Jon Charles Streckenbach, 39, faces charges of first-degree arson and criminal mischief causing $20,000 to $100,000 in damage. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and violating a restraining order. The home was just beyond the city of Longmont in unincorporated Boulder County, in an area that appeared to be highly wooded. First responders arrived at the home Monday afternoon to find smoke billowing from the residence, according to a statement from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office....

The video, which the sheriff’s office posted to YouTube, shows the suspect, who was identified as 23-year-old Samuel Yeager by the coroner’s office, holding a rifle bag as an officer telling Yeager to “set it down” approaches him. “When the first deputy arrived on the scene, the suspect was holding, which we later identified as, an AK-47 in a soft rifle case,” Spurlock narrated. “After several attempts to get the suspect to put the gun down, the suspect walked over to the northbound on-ramp with his hand in the rifle case,” he added....

Moala, a key reserve who had six starts last season, was put on injured reserve Wednesday and is out for the 2014 season after a collision with another player this week. ESPN.com reported what many had suspected at the time: Moala tore his right ACL, for the second time. Besides the ACL injuries, Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon ruptured his Achilles tendon Tuesday. Moala, then, would be at least the fourth NFL player to suffer a season-ending injury in a span of less than three weeks — under conditions that sharply limit contact under the 2011 labor agreement....

The Colts, obviously, are hoping that the Reich-Wentz reunion — Reich was Wentz’s offensive coordinator in 2016 and 2017 — will help refuel Wentz’s career and give the Colts the true successor to Andrew Luck.
