On Tuesday, the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) released a statement urging the Democrat to reconsider his opposition to the legislation, a cornerstone of President Joe Biden’s domestic agenda. The two companies said they are to leave the Plastics Industry Association as they seek to dramatically reduce single-use plastics in their products and packaging.
